Thayers Historic B&B is an 11 room, luxury plus, Old West Victorian B&B with all private baths, authentic antiques and a dining room that comfortably seats 50 guests; it is an award winning, treasure built in 1895.

Thayers is an easy location for guests to find, located just West of the TC metro in the - Heart of the Lakes- region. The MSP International airport is about a 1.5 hour drive away, the AMTRAK station and a MN regional airport are in St. Cloud, MN. about a 20 minute drive away. There is also a Municipal airport just 7 miles to the East in Maple Lake, MN.

Thayers owner,  Sharon Gammell, is an internationally trusted psychic, friendly hostess, ordained minister, and gourmet chef of many years. She has had 4 successful restaurants in the Twin Cities and over the years catered to groups as small as two people and as large as 1,500. This experienced woman is happy to share her unique talents, fine foods, wonderful staff and extraordinary surroundings. Her home is ideal for a small intimate wedding and reception, a business meeting or family reunion.

Gammell cooks without recipes and has an eye and imagination for delightful twists that tempt even the most discerning palate. She can take the ordinary to the new and extraordinary. Preferring traditional to trendy, her food takes on a comfortable and familiar character, but do not be fooled, she is not traditional.  

Gammell loves a challenge and her cooking is truly a gift from her heart to her guests; when special diets are required, one can be assured that you and your guest's needs will be met with enthusiasm! You can be confident that all your guests will experience unequaled cuisine, rich in flavor and presentation even when foods that are Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, diabetic and Heart Healthy are required. Special diets are not an issue for this amazing chef.

Yes, Thayers B&B is haunted and listed as one of the 10 Best Haunted Places to Stay in the USA. Ghosts at Thayers are not Casper, but, they are friendly. All the same, they do like to play with people & enjoy a good Boo now and again. Owner, psychic, Sharon Gammell offers classes in Ghost Investigations regularly.  

Thayers is rich with history and the building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is unique in that it has balloon framing. There are lovely garden areas on the property to enjoy, a public park a block away, and walking paths close by that make for a perfect leisurely stroll.  

Thayers is a motorcycle friendly Minnesota B&B accommodation that is an easy hour ride from the Twin Cities. There are 26 lakes within a 5 mile radius of Thayers and Downtown Annandale; all are accessible by road! Traffic lights are almost none existent - Annandale has one light at the corner of MN Hwy 55 and County RD 5, a block away from Thayers. Once you have gone through that light, you will not experience another one for almost 100 miles to the West. There are black top roads around Annandale that are full of turns and curves and around every curve there is more Minnesota beauty to see.
