Time away is golden, as is the silence and privacy and pampering at the Classic Rosewood Inn and Spa in beautiful Historic Hastings
Indulgences include in suite massage, intimate fireside dinners, breakfast to your schedule in suite or dining room and a never empty cookie jar! And then there is ice cream and pantry access round the clock. Here it is all about making yourself at home and tucking into reading nooks, rocking chairs, swings for two. Enjoy the library with fireplace, exceptionally tall wing backs, chess, cribbage and an eclectic selection from Harvard Classics and leather bound National Geographics to Dr Suess and an amazing Clive Cussler collection.

The restoration was done with great respect for original integrity as a home. Seven of the eight rooms have double whirlpool and fireplace. There are 11 fireplaces at the Rosewood, 10 wood-burning, and yes, wood provided. In fact all of the fireplaces were designed to be viewable from the bed or double whirlpool in the bedrooms.  

Most rooms are named for the water in Hastings giving a chance to exploit the incredible geography here. Three rivers and two lakes are the circumference of this special place and form 12 of the 15 mile bike and hike trail. There is also a historic walking tour sharing history of the 63 buildings in town on the National Register (a record for a town this size) There are three marinas and a free public boat launch as well as a public boat landing. The Hastings Aquatic Center is city owned and boasts zero depth entry, water sprays, and fountains. Car buffs will love Historic Hastings Saturday Cruise In held every other weekend in the summer from 5 to 10 pm where the main street is blocked for cars dated pre 1976. And every Sunday night in August there is a free outdoor concert in the orchard of the LeDuc Historic Estate.Orchards, organic farms, vineyards, pick your own berry fields, and a small town creamery are a few local activities that tie into the past and present of our agricultural community.

What sets this award winning elegant 1880 National Register Queen Anne apart is it was literally saved from demolition. There is something quite exhilarating about adaptive reuse of historic properties for sure.
