Cedar Rose Inn

Built in 1903 by successful businessman and mayor, Noah P Ward, this inn offers the hospitality and comfort that was a common trait of these homes of yesteryear.  It was operated as a "Hostess House" for over 40 years before becoming a bed and breakfast by the present owners for the last 15 years.
    The unique rare sculptured plaster walls, stained glass matching the chandeliers, and the well-preserved oak wood work tell the story of excellent care for over a century of occupancy.
     But most of all, the service heart of the innkeepers becomes very evident from the time of your arrival and throughout your stay.  From the amenities to the delicious country breakfasts, guests continue to express their appreciation and gratitude of being pampered to the max.
     Within easy walking distance of the inn, lie the downtown shoppes, restaurants, theater, and museums for the unusual convenience for the guests.  Alexandria, the town that is easy to get to and hard to leave, quickly becomes a favorite to travelers.
      And if you are looking for something special, the innkeepers now offer a summer "Wine Lovers Weekend" package where guests can actually experience wine from the vineyard to the table.  The personal 2-acre vineyard is now open for a personal guided tour along with a special wine-tasting and Italian dinner.
