  • Afton Strawberry Festival

    Welcome to the Afton Strawberry Festival! The Afton Strawberry Festival will be celebrated in the historic village of Afton, MN, which is located along the scenic St. Croix River. The 2018 Afton Strawberry Festival will take place on Saturday, June 23th from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, June 24th from 11am to 4pm. 3418 St. Croix Trail South Afton, MN 55001 This unique community festival honors the long, rich heritage of strawberry crops grown in the area since the 1800’s. This free, two-day outdoor festival will feature a blend of 60+ artist vendors showcasing and selling their goods, vintage and 2nd-hand vendors selling repurposed or vintage treasures and a business expo. Great food, live music and fun activities for the entire family in Afton Town Square Park.   • Defeat of Jesse James Days

    One of the Top 10 re-enactments in the country. Retelling the events that took place in 1876 when the James/Younger Gang attempts to rob the Northfield Bank. All participants in the re-enactment are volunteers and are not paid for their performances. Many of them own the authentic 1876 costumes they are wearing, while others are provided by the Northfield Historical Society. We recommend an overnight stay at the Historic Hutchinson House B&B, just minutes south in nearby Faribault, MN.
