A Night Out at Duluth’s Playhouse
The Duluth Playhouse has been a artistic mainstay in Duluth since 1914. In fact, it’s one of the country’s oldest theaters, and it focuses on live theatrical entertainment ranging from musicals and comedies, to dramas and original works. In total, the Duluth Playhouse manages three different stages; the Depot Main Stage, which is soon going to be hosted at the newly renovated NorShor Theatre, the Children’s Theatre, and the Underground Theatre.
The current show at Duluth’s Playhouse Depot Main Stage of A Christmas Carol. The remainder of the season includes Mamma Mia!, Lend me a Tenor, Our Town, and The Music Man. Performances extend all the way into July, depending on the show you want to see, but tickets are popular and always best booked ahead. The Underground Theatre has some fun and festive performances coming up throughout the month of December, as well as a range of shows extending into August of 2018.
There are plenty of great places in Duluth to enjoy dinner before the show as well. We always recommend the following places to our guests: Va Bene Berarducci’s, New Scenic Cafe, Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar, and Zeitgeist Arts Cafe.
Be sure to get your tickets to the Duluth Playhouse early, then make your reservations at our luxury Inn, the A.G. Thomson House Bed and Breakfast.
