The Loghouse & Homestead Bed & Breakfast on Spirit Lake is an ideal place for birdwatching, thanks to the nearby wildlife refuges and the abundance of bird houses and bird feeding stations on the property. One bird in particular that can be found there is the Indigo Bunting.

The eastern bluebird is a summer resident of Minnesota, and the 115 acres belonging to the Loghouse and Homestead on Spirit Lake, MN is a favorite nesting spot for a number of Bluebird families. One or two broods are often produced in each nest found on the rambling property.
