In the quaint and charming town of New Ulm, Minnesota, Black Friday shopping isn’t necessarily the focus of the day. At 6 p.m. on Friday, November 27, Santa comes into town in the Annual Parade of Lights. If you go downtown you will see this parade of about 50 entries and participants most definitely use their imaginations when designing their floats. After the parade, A Live Nativity is being presented at George’s Ballroom, which is found on Center Street, towards the east from Minnesota Street;the parade route. Christmas not only changed the world’s calendar and created a huge holiday, it also changed people’s lives. Come experience an old fashioned Christmas. Get away from the crowds.
