Home > Find an Inn > The Three B's :Bed, Breakfast and Birding

Minnesota is a fantastic state for bird enthusiasts. It has an interesting diversity of birds, and many beautiful spots to view them.

Amateur and expert ornithologists flock to Minnesota in search of the Tufted Titmouse, the impressive Boreal Owl, and the sweet Smew.

There are innumerable festivals, field trips and meetings throughout the year, such as the Henderson Hummingbird Hurrah Festival at the end of August and the Grand Marais Autumn Migration Birding Festival in October.

Country Cove B&B is a birding paradise. Our private country setting lends itself to watching the bird activity for hours. One couple from England said they saw 18 different birds while they were eating breakfast. Our many feeders are buzzing with activity. One day I counted 12 cardinals at one time. There are many varieties of woodpeckers. Occassionaly a piliated woodpecker comes to the suet feeder. In the winter we have had owls come in looking for their next meal. This fall we watched a Blue Bird family taking a bath before they headed south, and waiting their turn for the bird bath was an Oriole family. What a brilliant display of color. You won't be disappointed!!
