The Quality Assurance Program (QA) and inspection process is an important part of your Minnesota Bed and Breakfast Association (MBBA) membership. An application fee of $300 must accompany your application for membership in the MBBA. This is above and beyond the dues fee.
The application fee is a one time fee when membership is continuous, and includes one on-site MBBA Quality Assurance Inspection. The Inspection is scheduled with you a minimum of 7 days in advance - it is not a surprise visit. If an inn changes hands, the inspection must be done again and new owners will undergo a Quality Assurance inpection for $300.
Why the MBBA has a QA program and why it is important to you:
- A knowledgeable QA Consultant will inspect your property and offer advice and helpful suggestions to improve your inn.
- You can proudly market that your property adheres to a high standard of cleanliness, safety and maintenance. All QA approved inns receive a Certificate of Recognition for display purposes.
- Marketing efforts will educate the general public on the importance of the QA program. The QA logo will appear in future guidebooks and on our Minnesota website. Did you know every other state in the country has a similar program? It is important for our industry to keep up with other states in assuring quality stays for the public.
- All inns will be given guidelines in advance of their inspection.
